Morgana Systems, Milton Keynes, the UK’s leading manufacturer of equipment for digital finishing, has pronounced its first post-Drupa road-show at Bristol Golf Club a great success. The event, which took place on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th of July, combined Morgana’s latest Pro products with pro golf – with the club professional at Bristol offering hints and tips for the golf enthusiasts present.
Commenting on the event, Ray Hillhouse, UK Sales Manager at Morgana, said: “We were delighted to welcome visitors from over 30 companies over the two days, and we are now close to finalising a number of equipment orders as a result.”
Morgana were able to show the latest versions of their Pro range of creasers and folders shown at Drupa 2012, including the DigiFold Pro creasing and folding machine and the DocuMaster Pro booklet making system. The star of the show, however, was the entry level DigiBook 150 PUR perfect binding machine – a product that Morgana launched at Drupa. “There is a definite demand for short-run, high-quality binding that most other suppliers seem unable to meet,” said Mr Hillhouse. “The interest in this machine both in Düsseldorf and at the Bristol event tells us that this is the right product at the right time.”
The company is already looking at further Pro road-show events, with Southampton and Livingston being likely venues. “Regional events like this give us a great opportunity to take the product to the customer, and let print businesses try them out with their own work, at a location close to them,” added Mr Hillhouse.
Partners Intec and Roland joined Morgana at the event, and both were delighted to report positive meetings with potential customers.
