Morgana Systems, Milton Keynes, the UK’s leading manufacturer of equipment for digital finishing, has pronounced this month’s Graph Expo show in Chicago, USA, a huge success with orders taken on the stand approaching three figures in terms of machine numbers.
Commenting on the success of the show, Quen Baum, Managing Director of Morgana, said: “We actually did have some doubts with regard to showing at Graph Expo this year: I am glad we did decide to make the investment. It has paid off handsomely for us, with record orders for Morgana at a Graph Expo. I was so impressed that I have already booked again for next year!
“Our booth was very busy at all times; we were even busy on the Sunday afternoon following the Chicago marathon. Generally visitors seemed a lot more upbeat and were there to buy, not just to look.
“Top of the list for visitors was the Morgana DigiFold Pro followed closely by the CardXtra Plus and the AutoCreaser Pro products: these three products accounted for some 70% of the orders taken.”
Adding his thoughts regarding this year’s show, Alan Oppenheim, North American Manager for Morgana, said: “Other highlights of our Graph Expo 2012 exhibit included the DocuMaster MFC booklet-making system, being shown along-side the recently upgraded DocuMaster Pro for the first time in US. Our customers were able to see these products in action, and were very impressed with what they saw. I am convinced that our unit order total for Graph Expo will break the hundred mark once we have completed our follow up visits.”
Morgana were able to show the latest versions of their Pro range of creasers and folders shown at Drupa 2012, including the DigiFold Pro creasing and folding machine and the DocuMaster Pro booklet making system. The star of the show, however, was the entry level DigiBook 150 PUR perfect binding machine – a product that Morgana launched at Drupa. “There is a definite demand for short-run, high-quality binding that most other suppliers seem unable to meet,” said Mr Baum. “The interest in this machine both in Düsseldorf and at Graph Expo tells us that this is the right product at the right time.
Beginning with the launch of the revolutionary AutoCreaser in 2000 Morgana Systems has led the way in developing new and innovative solutions to cope with the special requirements of the digital printer.
